ATTENTION – RENEWAL OF ICOM MEMBERSHIP FOR 2012
ICOM Australia members are reminded that ICOM subscriptions fall due on 1 January 2012.
Renewal Forms are now available on our website ( www.icom.org.au) and on-line renewal is also possible via the Members area of the website
The 2012 ICOM stickers will be available early in November and will be mailed to early renewers as soon as possible after their receipt from Paris.
Members wishing to renew prior to the Christmas-New Year period are encouraged to do so sooner rather than later, as our office will be closing from 9 December to 3 January and membership renewals received after Friday 9 December will not be processed until the New Year. Anyone planning to travel overseas during December-January and wanting to make use of their ICOM Card will need to have both a 2011 and a 2012 sticker attached to it.
We have found it necessary to increase our membership subscriptions slightly this year in order to cover the increased costs of subscriptions determined by ICOM’s General Assembly as well as our own operations, but we have kept the increases to a minimum and hope members will understand. However, in order to encourage smaller Institutions to join, we have lowered the rates for Categories 1, 2 and 3 compared with 2011.
Members are reminded that your ICOM Card and your ICOM sticker are both valuable commodities –not unlike a credit card – and should be treated with similar care. Please ensure that you attach the 2012 sticker (which will be stapled to your receipt) to your Card as soon as you receive it, and please keep the Card in a secure place as replacement of Cards is both time consuming and costly.
ICOM Australia will impose a $20 Card Replacement fee from 2012 in order to cover the costs incurred (unless your Card is worn our though age and use).
Thank you for your continuing support for ICOM
