A reminder that your ICOM Australia membership renewal is due.

If you have recently renewed - thank you! If not, as a lapsed member you can renew your membership without penalty.

How to renew

Your membership expired on 31 Dec 2009. For renewal details please log into the members area at renewals and follow the instructions. There you will find a direct payment, secure on-line renewal facility as well as traditional manual forms.

Benefits

These include a 2010 sticker for your ICOM card which will give you free and priority access to many overseas museums and other benefits both in Australia and internationally.

New rates

The subscription rates for Regular Individual members and Post-Graduate Student members have risen slightly for 2010, the first increase in several years.  The rates for Institutional members have also risen, in some cases substantially. The increases reflect the subscriptions ICOM Australia is required to transmit to ICOM headquarters in Paris.

These increases were determined by the Paris General Assembly in June 2009. ICOM Australia adds a small additional fee to cover its operating expenses.

Discount for Museums Australia members

A new reciprocal benefit arrangement is in place with Museums Australia. New and renewing Regular Individual and Retired members who are current members of Museums Australia are entitled to a 5% discount on their ICOM subscriptions.
